Michael Trent Freaking Reznor is coming to CLEVELAND, OHIO on August 22, 2008 (yes, I have burned that into my mind). He's finally touring in the U.S. and if Mookie can get the tickets (floor, I really truly hope and pray for), we're going. If we get tickets, there's nothing that will hold me back. Nothing.

In other news, I got the NIN Spiral Notebook! DDDDDD *dances around * Thankies MOOKIE~~~~! (Which rhymes with COOKIE~~~~!) *blows kiss to Mookie *

In other news (again), life is alright, getting by. Uberly excited about Trent being here *spasms again * and having that to look to is really pushing me through long days now. I just daydream about Trent Reznor. *glances away from Mookie* Mookie and iDon'tCare (Marc and Alex) have named YARTS: (their RTS that they're programming. ) Polyhedronal Warring Nations: Experimental Demonstration. And yes, it's an acronym for PWNED. Those guys are amazing.

I'm going to keell Gina-chan and KK-chan because they keep scheming and it's killing me. >_> And KK took a candid picture of me and Gina convinced me to take a vanity photo. >_> (But it's okay, it turned out rather nice. ) See my Facebook for them. -_-

Life with Mookie's starting to really smooth over, and I'm feeling better about our relationship. It's going back into that state where we feel that we are very open with the other and are sharing our feelins more (yay, sentimental lovey-dovey stuff!!). Things are much more comfortable nowadays, and that has me at ease with life.

I'm not too worried about my future as much. The way things will play out is the way they will play out, and really, I have the people I love around me to help if I really need it. ^^ So I'm feeling loved and not as stressed about the future. I think I'll really look to the present now.

Selling drama tickets tomorrow at lunch for Guys and Dolls, which I'm glad about. Fun fun. ^^ Oh's, and KK, see if we can do something after school this week, I want to bring your disc and maybe even spruce up on tennis! I'd also like to see if Gina and you will come over this weekend to do stuff. Like fly around with garbage bags emulating capes. That's always fun. Ah, good times.

Today is by far the best day of my life. ^^ Trent Reznor (my idol, inspiration, lover *cough * and future husband (I swear!)) released his latest album quietly last night, and it's been hell for the servers.

I've listened to the album, and believe it is the most awesome one he's ever done. Sure, there have been more meaningful concept albums, but this truly does display the talent behind Mr. Reznor and NIN overall: it's power to move forward with the times, keep connected to his audience, and his amazing versatility. This album is different from all others as every song is an instrumental, and although fans wish to hear his (amazing) voice, one can still hear it in the music he makes in these. It's not just a human voice we hear. Overall, I believe this is my favorite album thusfar - not just because of the amazing music (although that's the major part), but also that it's released online, cheaply or by what the consumer believes to be its value (you can download the first part for free, or the whole thing for 5 at the smallest and the price goes up with special features added). Other than this great freedom and thought for the audience, Trent also released it under a Creative Commons License. Mainly, you can use it anywhere, but you have to give him the credit, and you cannot sell it for profit (or just sell it. >>.

Otherwise, I find this as an amazing album. The graphics are distinctly NIN: a great mingling of harsh yet beautiful images of nature. It comes with a ton of extras for the $10 selection (as opposed to the gimpy single CD you get for $20-30), and something I have to add to attest to Trent's genius. He and his little team composed the entire album of 36 instrumentals by playing for 10 weeks with an anything-goes policy. Whatever they made would be put on the album as something. The amazing part is the quality of each song. Each is reflective of NIN's ability to mold to different sounds and feelings, and Trent's great talent to mold ideas and feelings into simple beats and melodies.

This album is one of the first to take a much-needed step towards a better future in the music industry, and is another reason as to why Trent's an amazing person. He's an independent man with a purpose in life, and he's not about the money anymore (although it's a nice incentive).

He can pack the feeling of incredible euphoria and intense loss into one song; to create a curious character simply from the beat of a calypso, or a cold, wintry setting from a strong bass and great inflection. If you want proof, pick up any album with an open mind, and pay attention to what he does with the music and his lyrics. ^^ That's why I love him.
